C1810 Unique British Navy Sabre £2000

A rather exciting and unique Georgian pipeback sabre which is covered in repeated acorn motifs, a very common symbol for naval officers. Partly the oak leaves were used as the fleets were built of English oaks plus they also symbolise strength and sturdiness.

In addition to the acorns and oak leaves on the guard and scabbard the blade has been etched with a repeated pattern which upon further inspection I believe is waves.

Blade is a pipe back with a very pleasant false edge in the style of the Prosser pieces.

The sword appears to be unmarked with no makers stamps.

This sword can be yours for £2000 or best offer.
