A rare and stunning example of a Bowie or hunting knife made by Arnachellum of Salem.
Considered to be one of the best knife makers in the world during the mid 19th century these pieces were famously able to be struck blade on against granite with no damage to the blades.
This is only the third one of these I have seen with the rarer disc pommel.
It is of a similar type to the other Arnachellum on my site but this one is a normal sized Bowie rather than the oversized bush knife.
