A rather interesting sabre to a Sergeant of the Yorkshire Hussars who was deemed the best fencer of the regiment or even perhaps the area.
These prize swords were presented at regimental competitions or Yeomanry meets. This sword is a late version of an 1853 pattern universal cavalry sword officially etched in 1893 and is carried in a dual-ring scabbard. Comes with its original knot.
The sword is in very near mint condition.
This sword can be yours for £1250 or best offer.
