A stunning and rare example of a weapon I am incredibly lucky to be the custodian of this katar is one of the oldest of the early modern forms I have been lucky enough to handle.
This katar is a Deccani katar of the style made in the mid-17th century and it is in absolutely perfect condition. The whole katar is made of wootz with a clear high contrast pattern showing on the blade and bars of the grip.
The katar comes with its original velvet covered wood scabbard with stitched on silver plate decoration.
As to condition the piece is as close to mint as you can find for a piece over 300 years old.
This one of a kind piece can be yours for £4750 or best offer.
