A rare example of an 1855 dated Wilkinson Sword mameluke sabre for a British General Officer. This piece is dated 7156 dating it to the later half of 1855, the second year of Wilkinsons numbered swords.
This sword requires restoration to the organic grip and has some edge damage but retains some of the crispest engravings I have seen on a Wilkinson.
This piece can be yours for £875 or best offer. Reduced to £745 for Swordvent.
Note on the ivory. This piece contains antique elephant ivory but it comes to less than 10% of the volume of the item, it is awaiting it's Ivory Declaration Submission number. Sadly this can not be exported.
