This is a strange piece as the quill and parchment symbol has so far evaded me but I believe with the prescence of the crown on the pommel that this is a court dagger similar to those worn by diplomants and officials of Queen Victorias staff. The nearest I can match this pommel is to a Victorian Court Officers tip staff, his symbol of authority. The knife has a stag horn grip with a dull cast white metal guard and pommel, the blade appears to be silver or nickel plated. This dagger can be yours for £175 or best offer.
