An interesting watercolour painting depicting combat during the Evacuationof Crete 1941 against the German and Italian naval and air forces, this led to the Orion losing 360 souls and having to limp away for repairs. The painter Lt. Commander Hackforth appears to have been a training and instructional officer. The painting has been done in subdued watercolours bearing a short description on the rear.
