Relicselicselicselicselics are not something I often purchase but I make an exception for a few pieces, this baselard was one of them as they are so rarely affordably seen in private hands with the best examples inevitably purchased by museums or private institutions with deep pokcets. The baselard is a later version of the European dagger worn by the middle and upper echelons of society, a symbol that they could carry a blade not just for utility.
Whilst mainly German or Swiss these were also carried in renaissance France and England, even famously being used in the Peasants Revolt.
This dagger can be yours for £400 or best offer.
