Rare Early East India Company 1845 Sabre £750

An 1845 East India Company Infantry Officers sword in incredible condition. This sword is quite unique as it dates from 1845-1858 giving us a nice short window for manufacture which is useful since this sword uniquely has no retailers or makers mark and no proof slug. The EIC 1845 is essentially the same sword as the British 1845 but rather than the royal cypher on the blade and the cartouche there is the Lion Rampant bearing the crown of the Monarch, in this case Queen Victoria. The sword comes with its original leather sword knot which is extremely fragile as well as its leather inner liner which is increasingly rare. The blade is in incredible condition with some sections of blackening from age but for the most part in its original polish. The guard has a good amount of its original gilt. This sword can be yours for £750
