A rather fun Paul D Luneschloss sabre, these pieces were produced for export in Solingen between 1840 and 1870 and appeared around the world but predominantly were sold in large batches to US Federal forces. This sword is a decent entry-level piece to 19th-century sabre collecting and is incredibly similar to some of the first sabres I owned when I entered the hobby.
The sword has some wear on the blade showing the german patterned steel, could be polished out but I think it gives it a bit of an interesting look. The sword no longer has its leather wrap but retaines its grip wire. The sword is marked PDL on the ricasso. This sword can be yours for £230 or best offer.
