Mid 18th Century Dieppe Stiletto £745

This small delicate piece is one of the Dieppe or Dieppe style carved stilettos of the mid to late 18th century with a similar faceted cut steel guard as found on some 18th-century smallswords.

This piece has a mixed organic carved grip with a brilliantly cut steel integral guard, the blade is ever so slightly hollow ground with an interesting chevron pattern of the first half, the second half of the blade is a swelled tip similar to the armour piercing tips seen in Indian weapons and earlier European pieces. The scabbard is continental silver with wood and a very fine leather. The grip has one small chip. This dagger can be yours for £745 or best offer.
