A late 19th century Caucasian kindjal dagger, this example has a stunning blade showing a clear line where the edge has been hardened, very similar to a Japanese hamon.
The hilt is made of horn with white metal stud rivets. The blade has the traditional offset fullers in a thick broad blade. There is a makers mark shown in the photos.
The scabbard is interesting and aids in dating the piece as it is very similar to bayonet scabbards manufactured in the 1850's to 1900. This piece can be yours for £475 or best offer. Reduced to £400 for Swordvent!
