This tulwar was given as a gift to Elizabeth Vere Drummond Ogilvie upon her becoming Baroness Birdwood upon her wedding to Captain Christopher Bromhead Birdwood of Probyn’s Horse. The hilt and scabbard are early 20th century made for the wedding however the blade is 18th century wootz engraved with the legend: "Presented by Maharaj Sheadan Shingh to miss Ogilvie Dated 7th March 1931"
