French Gamblers Dagger

This small bladed knife is of a style typically identified as a "gamblers" or "prostitutes" dagger, these are of course 20th century terms to define any small dagger worn as an ornament or made to be concealed about the person.

This one has a delightful Mother of Pearl handle and silver/white metal fittings as well as a red leather scabbard. Interestingly the makers mark "LOL" is double stamped on either side of the ricasso.

The scabbard is missing its tip.
