A nice example of a 19th century Afghan sword with a typically gently curving blade type.
This swords domed pommel still retains its beads which make a gentle noise when rattled.
The hilts has very nice chisel work and openwork producing pleasant lines and an attractive sword with the highly decorated floral quillons, even training its original knot ring.
This sword has some light pitting to the blade and there is evidence of a fair amount of sharpening.
There is a touch of movement in the hilt.
This sword can be yours for £320 or best offer.
