C1840 Anglo-Indian Spearhead £155

A sturdy and solid piece, this spearhead made in London and sold by Eroom and Co of Calcutta is an important part of Anglo Indian culture where hunting was serious sport, almost every wealthy Indian and British person of the officer class and above would have a set of hunting weapons. Eroom were luxury outfitters and often their pieces are highly decorated, this piece is quite unique in the sense that it has been made for someone with more spartan tastes. Famously one of these types of spears was used by Hodson of Hodsons horse to hold a doorway in the Indian Mutiny with a recorded count of twelve casualties making these a very suitable self defence weapon in addition to a hunting piece. This spearhead can be yours for £155 or best offer.
