C1840 Afghan Tulwar £235

A good example of a less common style of tulwar that is more commonly found among the Afghan hill tribes. The tulwar has a curved knucklebow with a raindrop finial and floral terminals to the quillons. The blade is broad and thick, slightly curved with a spear point very similar to a sirohi or sabre. Interestingly this blade points to Persian origins having quite a pronounced yelman. There is one small crack to the disc pommel. The sword has some cosmetic wear. The sword can be yours for £235 or best offer.
