C1820 Persian Shamshir £800

This piece has a shorter heavily curved blade and a very thick spine making for an incredibly sturdy sword, a gorgeous horn grip and a finely worked silver pommel cap.

The sword probably has a pattern in it from the wear pattern on the blade where some parts have worn more than others before it's last polish but luckily for you all I don't have time to mirror polish and etch it to check.

The sword also has a late 19th century or early night 20th century made scabbard with a surprising amount of silver sheet on it, probably from the sword being handed down and worn over time and being replaced when the original scabbard wore out.
