C1800 Afghan Long Jezail £345

This is one of the jezails of Afghanistan with what is often famously described as a Khyber Pass modified lock. This lock comes from a Brown Bess musket and has had a spurious EIC Lion engraved to increase value or make the piece more prestigious.

These firearms were famously more accurately used than the Brown Bess and were used to devastating effect as a skirmishing weapon.

This is a rather long example with a great action in incredible condition sadly with some losses to the musket such as the forward sling loop and the trigger guard, the woods patina shows that this was removed a rather long time ago.

A rather interesting and affordable early 19th century firearm. The first item i have that is so large I couldn't photograph it in one piece!

This piece can be yours for £$345 or best offer.
