A pleasant entry-level hanger, this is an earlier example with a worn but solid construction. These hangers are in the Eastern style and like many, this piece appears to have a German blade but the style I would say is more likely to originate from Austria.
The hilt is made of bone with a brass guard and fittings. The hilt is missing one lozenge on the grip and the chain guard is absent. The blade is worn with salt and pepper patina and pitting but there are still some engravings visible. This sword can be yours for £350 or best offer.
