A cut down 18th century spadroon, most likely naval with the brass guard, that has been cut down to make a fighting or utility knife, definitely not a standard or neatly made piece but it does the job. The blade is pitted but the rather ornate ricasso still remains with the "FOR MY COUNTRY AND KING" on both sides. This cut down can be yours for £95 or best offer.
