This pistol started its life as an import flintlock trade musket, brought to African shores by the European trading nations to exchange for goods and many of these stood the test of time rather well, this one however has been cut down from its length of nearly five feet to be this small holster pistol with a hide replacement barrel band. This has also been converted to percussion and replaced with a locally made percussion hammer.
