A very aesthetically pleasing Edo period wakizashi that would be on the high end of the nihonto scale if it weren't for a few minor things but a wonderful addition to a collection building up to the high end or for someone looking just for a good solid example.
This piece is signed on both the tang and the tsuba (currently untranslated) which create interesting research opportunities if it is snapped up, given time if it stays with me I will translate it which may increase the price.
The blade has a stunning bold fuller along the length along with a clear but slightly faded hamon.
Once again a very aesthetically striking piece with the contrast between the copper, silver, steel and the black of the silk and lacquered saya.
