Here we have a fun one, this is a gunners axe from Afghanistan, these bronze or gunmetal axes were used by the gunners of Afghanistan and Northern India.
These were bronze because they are safe to use around gunpowder as the bronze will not spark. They were primarily used for breaking barrels, forming barricades and emplacements or clearing brush, much the same as a sappers sidearm with the armies of Europe.
