A rare and unique item out of my own collection, this Georgian dagger or dirk with a German silver hilt has been made with the blade of a 16th century rapier. The blade is a deep single fullered and double edged piece with the engravings of a rapier so we can see this comes from the lower part of the blade.
The engravings are deep and typical on what would be seen on a blade coming from Northern Italy or Southern Germany.
