19th Century Ottoman Bichaq £275

An interesting bichaq dagger most likely from the Greek or Balkan domains of the Ottoman Empire of better construction than many examples I have handled, of almost the same quality as the Paris and London made examples. The grip section is made of interlocking sections of ebony and ivory separated by brass framework and a brass backstrap. This piece comes with a newly made sheath that was used by the former owner to carry the bichaq for religious purposes. It is green velvet with a white metal tip. This piece can be yours for £275 or best offer.
