This sabre is coming from my own collection and has an engraving used by an unknown 18th century Solingen sword maker who in my opinion produces the best blades of the period, I have collected half a dozen of these and they are incredible in the hand. These sabres can be identified by the specific talismanic engravings of a sun and a moon, occasionally with a stylised S on the rear. The sword is in good tight condition with a missing ferule.
