A relatively new piece to me and a rather incredible one I am very excited about. This is an Indo-Persian shamshir with a stunning non-standard gold cartouche, similar to the Parasol mark which is often associated with the armoury of Emperor Aurangzeb. This blade has an intricate pattern welded blade and a scarf welded tip which is either a period repair or a carbon steel tip on a pattern-welded edge hardened blade.
I have polished and etched one side of this blade and have left the other side in the condition it was found it which is stable. I have left it as it shows some very interesting patterns in the stable corrosion. This sword can be yours for £1050 or best offer.
