A rare chance to own one of the first of 495 serial numbered Wilkinson Swords. This sword belongs to a batch purchased by the East India Company for the East India Company Navy, potentially for an intake of native officers.
The sabre is a really good example of its type with a nicely canted hilt, sturdy guard, nice feel in the hand and a Wilkinson blade. The scabbard has been refurbished, it is one of the steel and brass examples like my other 1854 Wilkinson and could use further restoration the lower mount has been reattached too far down and the throat could be worked on.
This example can be yours for £1095 or best offer.
Reduced to £895 or for Swordvent!
