1796 Light Cavalry Blue and Gilt £1750

A good solid example of the iconic cavalry sabre of the Napoleonic conflicts made and warranted by one of the iconic makers of the period, Osborn, who alongside Gill is credited with being one of the best makers of the swords of the British army in period. The sword is blued and gilt with most of its blue and gilt remaining. The sword has a cartouche with a faded "OSBORN WARRANTED" mark.
